# OF WORDS WRITTEN THIS WEEK: 1,210 (if you count words in outline: 3,035)
Progress was mediocre this week. I only completed a single goal from the last report. But I did do some unexpected writing. I got half the first chapter of SHADOW (the sequel to GLOW) down on paper and that’s a great thing.
I completed the outline for SHADOW, but didn’t touch THE GHOST WRITER. I re-read my query letter for GLOW and decided that I’m actually quite happy with it. I may move around a sentence or two, but probably no major overhaul. I opened my dry boring synopsis—and promptly closed it. My brain just denied that one.
In other news, GLOW is now fully immersed in Beta-land. I have three beta readers and have already received some feedback from one of them. And it was positive feedback to boot! But I know it won’t always be that way, so I’m enjoying it while it lasts. It’s stressful, knowing my baby is in the hands of strangers. All I can do is sit back, watch, and hope they’ll be gentle.
Random Fun Fact: I’ve managed to incorporate dragons into SHADOW which I’m unreasonably excited about.
Next week’s goals: Revise GLOW Synopsis. Finish Chapter 1 of SHADOW and outlining THE GHOST WRITER.
