This past week, I’ve come across two very different articles regarding texting during a live theatre performance:

Article in favor of texting
Article against texting

Now, I haven’t decided what side of the fence I’m on yet, but I can see both arguments.  On one hand, texting could provide an innovative marketing opportunity to reach out to the coveted “younger audience,” but on the other could result in alienating longtime patrons who don’t want any activity happening in theatre save what is playing on the stage.

I’m torn.
